19th Century London. Full of drama, scandal and murder. Con-men, whores and the cold-hearted upper classes. The capital city of the Great British empire is as clean and pure as the water in the Thames.

Name: Elliot Darkhaven

Age: 26

Gender: M

Occupation: Inventor and Engineer by day, and a black market dealer at night. Also has a knack for rather illegal surgeries and human experimentation.

Personality: Cold and calculated on the surface, he boasts a rather caring and friendly persona once befriending someone. Quick of wits and with no understanding of the concept of morals or personal space, he is often described as rather creepy but oddly charming.

Background: Born to the Impoverished Darkhaven noble house, Elliot was soon fascinated  by the working of machines, starting with clocks and moving on to things much more complicated. His parents saw this and aided him in his pursuits, allowing him to flourish in his abilities. But as time went on, his innocent curiosity turning into a morbid one.

He started to wonder about the human body, making small incisions on himself, studying the blood the poured out. Soon he felt his health beginning to waver, and knew that this line of self experimentation could not continue. Around this time, Elliots father fell deathly sick, and at the age of 16 his life took a dark turn.

His father laid in in the bed, gripping to life for weeks as doctors poured over him, trying to cure the noble at hope of great reward. All the while, as they worked, Elliot poured over their medical books and their personal medical journals. When the doctors learned of how little of the Darkhaven fortune remained, they all but abandoned Elliot's father. Elliot, having stolen a doctor's kit for surgery, knew what he needed to do.

He took a rag and a cloth from the medical kit, some of his father's bourbon, and doused them both in it. Wrapping a cloth around his nose and mouth, he threw back the sheets of his father's bed. Cutting back his sleeping attire, Elliot was amazed to see how swollen his father's torso was. He wiped his father's chest and then his abdomen clean with the bourbon soaked rag, and pulled out the kit of operation tools from the medical kit. He gritted his teeth as his mother pulled back in horror as he conducted surgery on his father.

The bed had been dyed a sanguine red from his father's blood as he finished. He had successfully drained the bile of the disease from his father, and had stitched him closed. His father would go on to recover, but Elliot was left forever changed by the experience. He craved the feel of the surgeon's scalpel in his hand again. He approached his father about being sent to a medical school, but his father informed him that such a thing would not be possible due to the family's lack of funds.

He started to invent and repair machines to raise money to put towards his dream, opening a small shop of the sort by the age of 17. By 19 he had saved up enough money to go to medical school, and by 20 he had trained workers to run the shop for him while he was away. His time in the medical school taught him much, but to his dismay, one of the heads of the school was none other than one of the doctors that had walked out on his father in the years before. This is what ultimately lead to his downfall.

In his final year of medical school, while operating on a patient at a local hospital, he was forced to do an unorthodox procedure that resulted in him removing a large amount of organs from the man's body. From no fault of the life saving surgery, the man would go on to die a few days later. The Head of the school condemned Elliot for this, and dismissed him from the school. Shamed and at a loss, Elliot met a shady man outside of the grounds on his way back home. The man made Elliot proposal, explaining that he was someone looking for fresh organs, and needed a surgeon that would remove them for him without damaging the prize so to speak.

A dark hatred burned in Elliot as he saw this as his chance for revenge. He has long since befriended the The head of the school's daughter, Lola, and used that to lure her to his shop's basement. He injected her with a sleep inducing agent and got to work, removing every organ he could without killing her, going so far as to take her eyes, loosely stitching her mouth closed, removing her tongue, and dismembering her hands so she could never write again. This lead to the Head of the School being unable to find out who had done such a thing, and Elliot to take up a life as a mad surgeon, inventing by day, and operating by night.
